Some of my good friends and colleagues have dived (why does the term “diven” seem to work here?) headlong into the blogosphere, and they’ve been nice enough to give me a plug on their sites…so I’m reciprocating. Here are links to their little corners of the interwebs:
Dr. Jacob Harrison has conducted several of my pieces, and recently commissioned a new work for his orchestra at Iowa State University. He and Brian St. John (another ASU conductor) have started this neat blog for conductors and the people who love them.
Jason Caslor commissioned and premiered “This Primordial, Threatening Noise…” and has been a big advocate of my band music in Canada. His website may be found here.
Stuart Sims’s blog is a wonderfully eclectic mix of opinion and news from the contemporary music scene. He’s on leave from Cal State Stanislaus, but I don’t hold that against him!
Elizabeth Delamater and Bill Sallak are both doctoral candidates in percussion at Arizona State University. I’m working on a piece for Bill based on the poetry of Kay Ryan, and Elizabeth and I both teach at Paradise Valley Community College.
